The details have been arranged for Dave's funeral.
It is being held on Friday 14th August at 11am at St. Mary and All Saints, Whalley. There will be ringing from 10am to accommodate everyone who wishes to ring. There will be bacon butties afterwards at Whalley Abbey.
Dress code for everyone is smart casual and Andrea (Dave's wife) has asked if the gents would like to wear a short sleeved checked shirt with a pair of folded glasses in the top pocket, that would be great, but don't worry if you haven't got one!
It's definitely going to be a celebration of Dave and he will be arriving at the church in style- I'm not going to spoil it if you don't already know. For that reason, it's probably best if you're parked up in Whalley by 10.30am.
Donations are to Whalley Bellringers and it is the aim to put this towards a piece of bell ringing training equipment at Whalley in memory of Dave, who so enjoyed teaching new ringers.
