Chorley, St George

Friday 14th and Saturday 15th

St George

The ten bells at St George's Church are fixed hemispherical, Ellacombe Chimes, by Mears and Stainbank in 1919.

It is fitting that the bells are a living memorial to those who lost their lives in the First World War as they are played regularly and can be heard across Chorley town centre.

Garston, St Michael

Saturday 15th

The bell ringing room will be open to the public. There will be a short talk for visitors on how and why we ring church bells, followed by a demonstration of bell ringing.

We are looking for new recruits right now, so this is a great chance to have a taster session.

St Anne's on Sea

Saturday 15th

St Annes

A rare opportunity to visit the bell tower to see our bells and training equipment in use and to try your hand at bellringing.

Also to view our fine church with its WW1 Memorial Chapel and Heritage Mural.
