John P Partington sadly passed away on Saturday 31st March after a short illness.

John's ringing career spanned more than 60 years and included both church and handbells. He also taught many, many people to ring. He was a Life Ringing Member of the Lancashire Association of Change Ringers, which he joined in 1953.

John’s funeral is to be held at St Luke’s Church Heywood, OL10 4NN at 12.30pm on Thursday 12th April, with the burial to follow at Heywood Cemetery at 2pm. Refreshments will be served following the service in church and all are welcome.

For those who are ringers, there will be ringing before the service from 11.45am and also following the service whilst the burial takes place.

As we all knew John at different times of his life, we thought it might be appropriate if people could provide a short paragraph(s) of how John came into their lives and this may form part of his eulogy.
